The latest acquisition . . . an ex-californian LHD, sprint engine converted TR7. So now I've got two of them which means I can get
into the job of the motorsport car. It's been something like 15 years since I last competed but Gurston Down school and then seeing
the historic rally here re-awakened my appetite. Unlike the UK I cannot do hillclimbs here in a roadspec car it has to be rally class
with the associated saferty features, so I plan to get myself up to the historic specification according to FIA appendix K and therefore follow the original TR7 homologation papers. It should mean that I can go for the historic class rally's here and also enter the hillclimb series, albeit in a rather 'outdated' car, but maybe still competitive!
So I've been active on e-bay recently, but I still need to get a cage and alloy fuel tank; I plan to get the seats and harness at the mototsport show in Sweden, hoping for a few good 'massan' specials!
